Our leadership team:
Antony Murphy
Chief Executive Officer
Antony is a hands-on CEO, with plenty of laboratory experience to back his management style.
A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Antony obtained his PhD while developing the nanotechnology sensor platform that forms the basis of Causeway’s technology.
Antony has worked closely with Bob Pollard, the company’s founder and executive chairman, to raise over £3.3M in venture capital investment.

Chairman of the Board
Bob is the company founder and responsible for the original academic research team that developed the nanotechnology Causeway is built on.
He has extensive experience in thin film deposition, nanofabrication, electrochemistry & structural charactersation.
He is seconded to the company from his position as a Senior Lecturer in the Centre for Quantum Materials and Technologies (CQMT) at QUB, where he has been an investigator on 12 EPSRC funded grants.
Deirdre Francis
Finance Director
Deirdre has over 30 years of experience in management and leadership of venture backed SME's, trade sales and due diligence.
She has been part of the senior leadership team of two successful, high-growth technology companies in Northern Ireland, Yelo and Intelesens.
Deirdre has strong networking and negotiating experience within Finance, Operations, Marketing and Corporate Services roles. Appointed Finance Director of Causeway Sensors in 2022.
